Teen Opportunities
YMCA YOUTH AND GOVERNMENT PROGRAM
YMCA Texas Youth & Government is a state wide, youth led, civic engagement prrogram for high school students in the area. It is an exciting hands-on experience in the mechanics of the state legislative and judicial process of government along with print and broadcast media.
You will get an opportunity to study and debate public issues, experience the Judicial branch of our state government, write a bill, participate in a Youth Legislature, produce the State Y&G news broadcast or edit the State Y&G newspaper.
Students across the state of Texas participate in their local District Conference and culminate the experience of a four-day State conference in Austin, Texas.

Girls Club
The Rockwall YMCA Girls Club provides a place where teen girls can grow, learn, have fun, and develop confidence in themselves and their ability to make a difference in the world. By delivering strong arts, literacy, science, health and leadership programs we provide girls with the tools to build their future.
